The Horticultural Research Institute (HRI) awarded several scholarships, including the 2012 Timothy S. and Palmer W. Bigelow, Jr. Scholarship of $3,000 to Renee LaGue. HRI awarded the 2012 Spring Meadow Nursery Scholarship of $2,000 to Allison Jones a graduate student at Michigan State University.
HRI awarded the 2012 Carville M. Akehurst Memorial Scholarships in the sum of $2,000 each to Leah Comerci and Stephanie Marino. HRI also awarded the 2012 Muggets Scholarship of $2,500 to Justin Menke, a senior at the University of Kentucky majoring in landscape architecture.

Argus Controls Systems Ltd. launched an updated corporate website featuring new content (www.arguscontrols.com). An expanded Industry Applications section has been added to highlight the benefits of the Argus system for each industry currently serviced. For existing customers, the company is also expanding and developing its knowledge-base of articles and application notes.
The 2013 Hunter irrigation catalog is now available. It includes information on the latest Hunter products including the 35 ft. MP Rotator and the Roam XL remote, as well as updates on existing products. The catalog also includes in-depth charts that contain product features, operating specifications and specification builders.
