AGCO (NYSE:AGCO) delivered a new Massey Ferguson tractor, valued at nearly $50,000 including accessories, maintenance and training, to the Piedmont Park Conservancy.
Nufarm Americas acquired Cleary Chemical Corp., a marketer of fungicides, insecticides and PGRs to the turf and ornamental horticulture industries. The acquisition closed Dec. 31, 2012. Nufarm is currently the third-largest plant protection supplier in the turf and ornamental market.
AEF Global Inc. based in Levis, Quebec, Canada, and BioWorks Inc. of Victor, N.Y., have established a distribution agreement for North America. This agreement will allow AEF Global to distribute in Canada on a non-exclusive basis, RootShield WP, RootShield HC, and MilStop and exclusively SuffOil-X. As well, AEF Global will market in Canada these active ingredients under private labels such as Sirocco.
The Chicago Botanic Garden has selected landscape architects Peter Wirtz/Wirtz International and Mikyoung Kim/Mikyoung Kim Design to design two new display gardens at the 385-acre Glencoe campus. Wirtz will design the garden associated with the Greenhouse and Nursery Campus and Kim has been selected to design the Learning Campus garden.
