Franklin Electric Co. Inc. released the AG Series cast iron centrifugal pumps for water transfer applications demanding high performance and efficiency in industrial, commercial and agricultural markets.

The AG Series is equipped with standard JM and JP motor frames along with a stainless steel shaft sleeve to prolong the life of the pump. Pumps are available to fit the most popular models ranging from 3 through 75 hp with flow ratings from 50 thru 1000 gpm with a maximum shut-off pressure of more than 175 psi.

Its standardized mounting dimensions and plumbing connections provide a quick and easy retrofit, reducing downtime, and the product’s “back pull-out” design makes repairs fast and simple.

A.M. Leonard introduced three new exclusive models of tools.

Orchid plug

After two and a half years of research and trials, Jiffy has introduced The Preforma Orchid Plug. The Performa Orchid Plug Propagation System is a six-step concept developed by Jiffy to assist orchid growers in growing the best orchid young plants possible. A uniform substrate featuring a structure with hundreds of micro air pockets evenly distributed throughout the media, stimulating fibrous root growth throughout the full depth and volume of the plug. As the substrate is fully bound, there is no compaction during transport or irrigation.

This new orchid plug has perfect drainage and quick and easy water uptake, allowing the roots to develop optimally, resulting in a more uniform growth.

The transparent growing tray where the plugs are grown as separate units is designed in combination with the Preforma Orchid Plug and eliminates any chance of root damage or transplant shock, while enhancing (automatic) transplanting. Extensive trials have seen production time savings from 25-40 percent.
