Beware of thieves
A landscape contractor in Illinois wants to warn other green-industry companies about a growing theft problem. Earlier this year, the contractor had 24 vehicles vandalized. Thieves took the catalytic converters for the platinum. In Illinois, the converters were selling for $100-$200 each.
Some states require junk yards to record who they buy products from, but this isn’t always followed to the letter of the law.
Protect your fleet and make sure your insurance policy covers these types of thefts.
