Zorro. Phytolacca 'Sunny Side Up'. Lavender Veil.

Echeveria hybrid Zorro
Zorro, from EuroAmerican Propagators, is one of the largest echeverias in the Savvy Succulents line. It features rosettes that can reach 16 inches wide, rising up on sturdy stems topped with knobby leaves. The foliage colors change through the season, but include a dark chocolate red to dark burgundy red with new leaves often paler than mature ones. The curly leaf margins are often a brighter pink, providing dimension and interest to the plant.

Phytolacca 'Sunny Side Up'
Plant Delights Nursery has introduced 'Sunny Side Up,' a new, solid gold leaf selection of a native (Canada south to Texas) Phytolacca (pokeberry). Discovered in North Carolina by gardener Robert Hughes, 'Sunny Side Up' makes a 5- 6-foot tall specimen with red stalks, bright yellow leaves, and is topped in late summer with clusters of purple berries. The foliage color is best in full sun. 'Sunny Side Up' comes true from seed. It's hardy in Hardiness Zones 5-9.

Buddleia 'Lavender Veil'
'Lavender Veil' from Hines Growers is a compact grower, growing very low to the ground, reaching 1½ feet tall and no more than 3 feet wide. Bearing abundant flowers, the continuous fragrant flushes of lavender blooms with white eyes continue throughout the summer. The smooth, dark-green leaves contrast against the lighter shade of green on the underside. When grown in containers or hanging baskets, the abundant flowers will cascade over the edges.  It prefers full sun and regular watering in a well-drained soil. 'Lavender Veil' attracts butterflies and hummingbirds. Use it in a hanging basket, for mass planting, as a low-growing groundcover, or in a rock garden, perennial garden or cottage garden. It's hardy in Zones 5-10.
