Harry Luther, bromeliad expert, died Oct. 17. He was 60.

Harlan Hamernik, founder of Bluebird Nursery in Clarkson, Neb., died Oct. 15. He was 76.

Bob Klaeser, climate control innovator, died Oct. 12. He was 62.

Ned Jacquith, owner Bamboo Garden Nursery, died Sept. 26. He was 73.
