Sprinklers
Senninger Irrigation has released the Inverted Micro-Sprinkler, designed specifically for greenhouses and hoop houses. Delivering gentle droplets in a consistent uniform pattern—even in single row installations—the Inverted Micro-Sprinkler features Senninger’s well-known color-coded nozzle size identification, incorporating the nozzle and base in one unit. Multiple connection options make it easy to retrofit existing systems. The product design allows for convenient disassembly for field maintenance, as well as replacement of individual parts. As always, Senninger offers a two-year warranty on materials, workmanship and performance. READER SERVICE #43

Tiller
A new line of Bobcat 3-point tillers is available for use with compact tractors and Toolcat 5610 utility work machines. Three new models have working widths of 43, 55 and 67 inches, and an adjustable tilling depth up to 5 inches. The tillers are equipped with slip-clutch protection to prevent driveline damage in case the rotor system becomes bound or jammed. The tines of the tiller rotate in the opposite direction as the tires when the tractor or Toolcat 5610 is moving forward. The reverse action of the rotor brings materials up and over the top of the L-shaped tines providing better soil fluff. With up to 54 blades per tiller, the implements also provide better pulverization of soil. The formed deck sheds water and debris for a cleaner, rust-free surface. READER SERVICE #44

Barcode scanner
DENSO ADC launched a new and more versatile AT20-Q handheld scanner, which offers high-speed scanning of both 2-D barcodes, such as the QR Code, as well as conventional 1-D barcodes. The AT20Q features a high-speed shutter that eliminates the effect of camera shake and allows quick reading from any direction, increasing operator efficiency. Anti-reflection technology enables reliable reading of barcodes on mobile-phone LCD screens. A newly developed scanning module easily accommodates 1-D barcodes with resolutions down to 0.125 mm and 2-D barcodes down to 0.167 mm, further extending the AT20Q’s application range.

The AT20Q’s compact, lightweight and ergonomic design makes it easy to hold and use, reducing operator fatigue. The AT20Q is also highly durable, with a rugged, shock-absorbing construction that allows it to withstand being dropped onto a concrete floor from a height of 6.5 feet — the highest standard in its class — and 100,000 times from 7.9 inches, sustaining a far greater number of impacts than would ordinarily occur in actual use. In addition, the device features IP42 dust- and water-resistant protection, as well as a connector-cable locking mechanism that prevents damage to the connector or cable. READER SERVICE #46
