Honors
The Missouri Botanical Garden has received the prestigious Horticultural Landmark designation from the American Society for Horticultural Science.

Drs. Larry Stowell and Wendy Gelernter received the 2009 Environmental Communicator of the Year award from the Turf & Ornamental Communicators Association.

Matthew Swaim, a senior at North Carolina State University, was named the first-place winner of the 2009 Syngenta Grower of Tomorrow internship program.

Blackmore Co., Belleville, Mich., was granted a trademark on the phrase Plant It Friendly in the USA and Canada. The slogan is being used in conjunction with Ellepots.
