Even if you’re in the Rocky Mountains or the Great Plains, colocasias allow just about anyone to get a taste of the tropics in their landscape. Known to many consumers as elephant ear, this selection is stunning with its matte green leaves, purple veins and margins, and cranberry-colored stems. You don’t need a pool or a pond to enjoy any of the selections in this genus. ‘Blue Hawaii’ is not as large as most other colocasias, but its size does not detract from its drama.

Although this plant could sell itself, colocasias could command a higher price tag with some clever point-of-purchase material.
Why grow Colocasia ‘Blue Hawaii?’
