Grow Irrigation, Inc. launched its new online store www.growirrigation.com, focusing specifically on the needs of commercial nursery growers. Founded by 35-year irrigation industry veteran Jerry McDonald, Grow Irrigation addresses a need felt by nursery growers nationally for accessibility to relevant products and expertise at competitive prices.
“The nursery market is relatively small in comparison with other irrigation industry segments, and because of this many dealers are not focused on its unique needs. Our national reach has allowed us to put together a lineup of top brands that are relevant to nursery operations at competitive prices,” McDonald said.
McDonald believes that the irrigation industry, especially in the nursery segment, has been slow to adopt online commerce in comparison with other industries. Grow Irrigation hopes to change this with its business-to-business approach and sharp focus on nursery growers. Like most online stores, Grow Irrigation accepts credit card orders, but with credit approval can also sell on net 30 commercial terms and can take on complex projects. Nearly all orders ship same-day and arrive on the farm within one to four business days.
McDonald says “We’re just getting started and our product offering is growing quickly. If you don’t find what you need on our website today, chances are we’ll have it later this year,” McDonald said. “We plan to change the way growers buy irrigation products, one emitter at a time.”
