Expo bills itself as the South’s largest gathering of green industry professionals. The show, which was founded in 1937, takes place at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Conference Center and runs from Aug. 10 to Aug. 12.

The keynote speakers are Shelley Row, who will speak about the business decision-making process and Dr. Charlie Hall, who will discuss generational differences, including how to understand the millennial mindset. Keynotes begin at 8 a.m. Thursday and Friday and the trade show hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 12.

Another major attraction at Expo is the TNLA Awards Celebration. This occurs Friday, Aug. 11 from 6:15 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. offsite at the Omni Dallas. The presentation of the Texas Excellence in Landscaping Award Winners will take place at the celebration, as well as the Summit Award, Young Leader Award and several others.

The Plant Trial Innovations is a new addition to the trade show floor. Attendees can explore plant material from six different producers that has been trialed across Texas and vote for their favorite.

In addition to the keynote presentations, the 2017 Nursery/Landscape Expo also offers 32 breakout sessions as part of the 2-day education conference. Expo provides more than 120 CEU opportunities to help businesses achieve return on investment. Saturday’s “sizzle sessions” offer three complementary education classes.
Also on Saturday, TNLA legislative and regulatory director Jeff Stokes will present a recap of how the green industry fared in the 85th legislative session.

New this year are the Special Sessions which cover topics that are impacting Texas Green Industry. These sessions are included in the Nursery/Landscape Expo Education package.
